I use spurs similar to those.
I drill two extra holes in the spur then mount it with the CF spur gear plate to stop it from warping so easily.

Excuse me, anybody could tell me if is necessary to buy a brushless motor mount set for TC chassis?
As i remember this motor mount is just for the previous version of Cyclone, could someone confirm about it, please?
Best regards

It was for low turn motors (which were the only brushless motors being used back then).

Timezone II is probably the best track I've ever been too. When I ran for Corally I went down there for a NWIC series race when Jeff Dayger came across the country to race there. It was a blast... I just wish it was closer. Me being almost in Canada makes it a pretty good drive to go down there haha. Mark, Rick, and Richard are awesome. Probably some of the coolest people I've met in RC.
The new setup in Seattle may not be a permanent track, but it is awesome how Todd (club pres) and a bunch of other dedicated racers brought this whole thing together so quickly. I haven't been racing much since SIR closed down, and I'm really excited that Seattle RC Racers has been established.
Like I said before, we're having the first cool awesomeness special event race this weekend. I'll be posting a rubber tire carpet setup for you guys after the weekend is done with a small report.

kk kool. i said time zone one tho lol
im getting geared up for outdoor, that is where my heart is at.
It just has a more "fun" feel to be racing out in the warm sun and on pavement.
Not to mention the occasional spectators

When I had mine, I used the Xenon's that speedtech sells. I had pretty good luck with them.

The problem is, WHICH combination to use ... i mean, here at the forums all people says spurs 70 - 74 ... and pinions on the 33 - 36 range ... and if i see the setups online from cyclone S users on other sites, they say use 100++ spurs and 40+ pinions ... so, where to go ?
Its for 13.5 brushless 6 cells nimh ... asphalt rubber
cya,
Pat
