I would think it will be open to anyone. There might be a limited number of entries. Not sure if it will be affiliated with Roar, if it is then a Roar membership will be required.

Here is the link to the site :

Ok....... what limited info I know.

Anyone can enter. Entry fee is looking to be $110 for mod and $125 for others. It seems high but this is to include 2 buffets at the track, along with a goodie grab bag and a t-shirt. (where is my snowbirds shirt for entering)

There will be classes for foam tire and rubber tire to draw in the market outside the US.

Cool, you think it will be as big as the Snowbird Nationals? Will there be a lot of Factory drivers there?

It is NOT a ROAR race. Totally independent. So no memberships or anything else are required.

September 21-25 at the Stardust Hotel in LV. Check out their site for rooms:
http://www.stardustlv.com/

The race will be in the ballroom at the hotel.

More information about the race will be appearing in the next few issues of XRC magazine, with the official entry form as well. I assume the form will be on the site once it is ready.

I don't know how much more Scotty wants me to say about it, so I'll keep my mouth shut, but all I can say is anybody who attends this race is in for a real treat.

Plus, it's VEGAS!

I meant to add that it is not a ROAR race as well but futureal covered that. I talked with Scotty at the Birds about it so it is all coming out shortly. Rooms are looking to be $85 a night I believe.

Scotty gave a small heads up and run down about this race at the Novak this year, and futureal posted pretty much all that was said. All I know is that if Scotty Ernst is putting on a race in Vegas, I'm going to be there....no doubt.

One of the goals of the race is to be done early enough each night that the participants can really get out and enjoy the town. So that means no round-the-clock racing. On the flipside, it means a much more memorable event!

My problem is going to be staying away from the tables.

I'm going to the poker tables and set up a little pit area so that I can peak my batts. Then I can pass on the blinds and tell them I'll be back in about 10 minutes. Hopefully we'll have the coverage on the FRS radios like we did at Snowbirds.

There will be wireless net access available in the ballroom to participants. I think there might be a small fee to get connected but it will be small.

I am planning to do a webcam for the race, and if things go well, there may be something even better in the works. But of course, I hope most everybody will be there...
