I got a question for you carpet experts. I was asking around about what bodies to run on carpet since I have never run on it before and was told the Parma Alfa is the ticket. I have since read a comment that they are not the ticket if you run rubber on carpet. Comment I read is they understeer real bad with rubber. My question is should I still use these bodies or get something else that would be more suited to a car with rubber instead of foam or is this all BS?

The parma alfa was designed for racing on carpet with FOAMS. For rubber try any body that usually works good on asphalt with rubber tires like the protoform mazda 6 or Ride Accord.

Thanks Korey for the fast reply!! I will see if I can exchange these for something else then. I chose not to run foam classes for I don't have a carpet track locally and did not want to spend the money on tires I would never use again.

What about the stratus 3.0 C would they be ok with carpet and rubber tires? I did pretty well in trackside's summer sizzler with my alpha. I wanna know if I should keep my alpha or go to the stratus for the IIC.

I won the sizzler with the Parma Alpha, but this being said I know I would have gone faster with another body, just didn't have anything else painted up at the time. Was fighting a push all day and it only got worse as the day went on and traction came up.
I'm going with the Stratus 3.0 AP for the IIC

Hi Everyone, I just returned from the Off Road Worlds in Italy and many drivers who also run on road are talking about the IIC, all the best in the world are going to join us. We will have all the rules posted on the site this week as well as some other info. We are looking for more people to participate in the IIC Poker Tournament. At this time we do not have enough players to reserve tournament space. If you are interested, email us through the website. The Mod King of the Hill should be interesting. $750.00 cashhhhhhhhh to the highest combined finisher in both Mod foam and Mod rubber. Only 1 month away and then it is game on. If you are not able to join us for the IIC you will be able to keep up with great coverage on the web. More info about the location to watch will be posted soon. As always if you have any questions, drop us an email or post here and myself or my bro. Boomer will be happy to answer.
CYA Soon,
Scotty

i have typically used the 2.0 for rubber on carpet... didnt like the Mazda 6 midcorner behavior, seemed dead compared to others.

ill prolly stock with either the 20. or 3.0 AP version myself...

of course, Rob Michaels won the stock rubber at last years Novak with the 6, so who knows??
