I asked scotty the same question during the team 1 offroad race he was hosting. He said that he has taken all his stuff on a plane on more than one occasion and has had no problem. Its ok to ship if you can afford it though.

er? what happened to bobby at the nats ?

Hi Everyone, I know it has been a while since I have had a chance to post, but I have been very busy working on the race. I was in Vegas last week and we had some great meetings at the hotel. Everything is looking great for the race. I continue to get emails from around the world from racers that are going to join us. The list of Pro Drivers that are planning on attending also continues to build. All of the US drivers are going to be there, but we are going to have the largest international turnout.

The lastest name added to the list is... Current World Champion MARC RHEINARD. He is added to the list of drivers from overseas that will be joinin us including: Surikarn,Hara,Groskamp,Honigl,Leino,Crosgrove, and soon to be others.

My Bro posted some answers to some of the questions, I will try and answer the rest:
Tracks size. This is not 100 % yet but it looks to be 98x48. We are still finalizing the floor plan, but that is what it is looking will work best. As Kraig stated, with the width of the carpet rolls this will work best. There will be plenty of room to pit with tables and chairs provided. The drivers stand will be located on the stage allowing for a great view of the track. We will have a very large amount of spectators comming to watch the race both from our hobby and many just from the hotel that are not familiar with our form of racing. It will really add to the excitement of the event.
Entry forms will be available online very soon. Once they are released, DO NOT WAIT. We will have a limit to the number of entries allowed. This will not be like the other hotel races, 500 or more entries. I want to limit the number of racers. This will allow us to have controll of how long each day lasts. Giving you guys, the racers, some time to go out and enjoy VEGAS!!!!!!!!!

Traveling with your gear. I have 10's of thousands of miles logged with my rc stuff and have had no real problems. Some advice that I always follow. First common sence stuff. No motor spray, paint, tire sauce, tire glue ect. All of this stuff will be available at the event. We will have a full hobbyshop onsite that will have everything you could possible want or need. I always take my car and radio with me on the plane in my carry on luggage. The rest I pack in my checked luggage. I did buy 2 very nice suitcases that I use when I fly. It adds alittle more security to my gear. In the US you get to check 2 bags in when you fly. Each can total 50lbs. If you exceed that weight it cost money for for each bag that is overweight. As for overseas drivers you will have to check with your airlines. I flew to the Phillippines last summer with all my gear. TC3,B4,T4 and my Mugen 1/8th scale buggy, All my tires, starter box, chargers, everything. And it all arrived no problem. Just pack all your gear secure. wrap with padding and you should have no problem. You can ship your gear to the hotel. but it is very expensive to UPS your stuff. We had some guys do it 2 years ago to Snowbirds and it was well over $100 and the boxes were thrashed! stuff was broken and it was a pain to claim the damage.

We have some fun stuff planned for Tuesday afternoon so if you are planning your flights, arrive on Tuesday, It will be fun. Once registration is open, we will have everyone who signs up online so you can see who is attending. Your entry will include a handout motor for Stock &19,event tshirt,2 buffets located right in the track and a goodie bag with lots of free stuff!

RC Scoring Pro will be our official scoring software and we have some great things planned for updates during the race. If by chance you will not beable to attend, we will keep you up to date.

And yes I know some of you guys will want to do some extra curricular activites during the non race times, so being the team player that I am, I will try and have the special IIC hookup for you guys at Cheatah's.

That is about the latest info I have. I am back in town for a while so if you have any questions, please leave a post and either my Bro Boomer( Hoosierdaddy)or I will be happy to answer any questions you have. Thanks again for everyones support of our race, I know everyone is going to have a great time. Take care
Scotty
