(well most of it lol) above me says and for the same reasons.

I'd disagree about the getting the power down part though.

On a surface with good grip a diff is faster off the mark (always a good thing) if for no other reason than that it weighs about half as much as a one-way unit.

I usually drive with a oneway, although I have used them all, but some tracks or rather the people at some tracks prefer one over the other. The main reason I ask is that it is another tuning tool and I wondered what others thought about it.

Actually, a one-way will have the tightest turning radius.

A spool makes the outside tire spin at the same rate as the inside tire. Meaning that both tires will travel almost the same distance as each other. With a diff, the inside tire will slip, reducing the distance traveled. And with a one-way, the inside tire's track is independent to the outside tire. So each tire travels a different distance.
