I'm sure it's a whole different game.

Interestingly, at Reedy, there were almost no Trinity motors in the top 10 of any class.

I would guess at torque....but until I actually get some to test and see I dont know for sure. Im not educated enough in the design aspect to know for sure but logically if you take Iron away it takes away part of the magnetic field it would seem. Its a better question for Dieter, Howart, Cochran or someone of their design knowledge.

I don't think thats a reflection on the performance of the Trinity motors, more of a regional preference.

Yeah, they won't go above 25 degrees. But fast at that setting ran mine last night.

Default Doesn't take much to fix the timing adjustment...

I always pull my motors apart and make sure the rotor is spaced correclty. It only took about 10 min with the dremel to fix the timing ring... No big deal and now I can turn it up to 40+ if needed...

How do you feel the band is on the motor? Does it pop out of a corner really hard yet feel like in a drag race it could be lacking? Or vice versa? Or what?

I am really happy about the motor I can now figure out how many degrees I adjust the timing...

Sorry did not have time to edit.

Is this just the next generation Duo motor, or do you think this (the DUO 3.5) has been specifically designed to maximise performance in 17.5 Blinky class?

It sure is heavy! Thats about the weight of the regular duo3 is I'm not mistaken. I thought it was supposed to be lighter?

I believe the end plate is lighter as well as the rotor not the whole motor as such

Great videos but has anyone told you that you talk too much in them?

So I'm assuming you can just Dremel that end plate and be able to go as high as you want?

What does the D3.5 17.5 weigh in at ?

RT 17.5 with CEFX endbell = 160.7gr
MurDogg 17.5 = 155.8gr
LRP X12 17.5 = 167.4gr

The Duo 3.5 weighs in at 175grams, however that is with the optional 12.5 high torque rotor I have in place of the stock 12.3 rotor.
