FDR CALCULATOR LINK
No probs.
Can anyone recall the FDR calculator mentioned in this thread? I know the one linked had a incorrect internal ratio which should be 2.13 (like the rs4) but I can't seem to find it. I thought it was on http://www.gearchart.com/index.cfm but couldn't find any HPI listed anymore.
Am I losing it or has it changed?

Picked up the Novak Drift spec combo. Very very smooth and instant control. I'm very happy with it. I can feel the difference in controllability - what a difference.

Here is my sprint 2 Drift! I've been into rc cars since the late 80's. I wish I had this car back then!
Did a bit of customization to it. Ripped of the stickers, added CF stickers, mirrors, wipers, dual exhaust, intercooler, and wing.
For electronics I put in a Futaba 2.4 and high speed RX, a fast .06 second Futaba 9254 steering servo and a Novak Drift Spec ESC/motor combo. Still running NiMh batteries but I get an hour of run time since putting in the Novak.
Also dropped in a front One-Way and cut away some plastic to get more steering angle.
Next is lights and I'm locking the rear diff.
Do they make a spool, or do I need to put in the wheelie king diff locker?
I love this thing!

Here's a link to a quick, clean way to lock the rear diff =

Thanks, Marv!
Thanks for all your work here, Marv. You were key to my decision to get the Sprint 2. I must have read this entire thread 4 or 5 times before I pulled the trigger. I've done several of your mods successfully, with just a few minor changes here or there.
I had a Traxxas Stampede with a Castle 7700kv motor in it that I was seriously wanting to down-grade, so as soon as I got the Sprint, I pulled the power system and swapped it with my Stampede.
I hit 65 mph last night on a 2s pack on its first run. The ESC hit thermal shutdown after 6 minutes of speed runs...it still works on the bench, but it sure does stink!! I'll have to take my GoPro out and get some video.
Thanks again!

69 mph
Radar clocked at 69 mph tonight...I'm so tempted to throw 3s in it for one run...magic smoke be damned!!!

69 mph?! That's insane. I think mine tops out at a blazing 16 mph! Drift baby! Smooth as butter now, but slow as hell. Another pic for good measure!
I wanna lose the "Head light stickers" and drop in light buckets...anyone know if they make ones ready to install for this car? Or do i need to get the lexan ones and cut and paint them? I think my second option would be to add "tint-shaped" stickers instead. OR remove the white paint and spray tint them back on. Any thoughts?

is the body sprayed whited behind those headlight decals? If so, buckets will never look good.
There are light buckets for the 350Z. HPI offers them with the 350Z bodies. They are clear lexan. You can probably find some chrome buckets from Yokomo or Tamiya maybe, but they probably won't fit/look perfect like the HPI pieces.
