My ceramics are rattling......
Ok I have brand new never been in a car ceramic bearings which I have flushed out and relubed with trumpet valve oil.
Now I notice that when I hold the outer ring and turn the inner by hand it's all nice and smooth and likewise when I hold the inner and turn the outer it's smooth also.
But when I hold the inner and "spin" the outer (and to some small extent visa versa) it "sounds" (that's the important word) like a rattle.
Any idea why this might be?
Edit: This doesn't happen for all of the set just as it did for them before I relubed.
