And yeah, there should be o-rings at both ends of the shock.
Interesting...hadn't seen the earlier shocks.

Ordering an f104v2 pro and a few parts. Anything else I need/ want?
F104 v2 pro
Titanium king pins
carbon damper mount
aluminum motor mount
adjustable metal uprights
carbon rear bulkhead plate
all of the tamiya option springs
Aluminum servo mount
All of the parts I have listed above are tamiya brand
Body and electronics are covered.
Pit Shimizu tires
I've heard the stock spur gears are nothing special. Is there a particular brand that's good? Any diff upgrades I should look into? Spares?

Also starting gear ratio for a 21.5 in blinky for a 90x40 track? I'm at 88/37 in my Kyosho.

You don't need 3/4 of that stuff...

get the TRF center shock and the 'high efficiency' roll damper(the plastic one)

The skinny screws that hold the side pods.... The OEM ones are way too short.
I forget the exact size. And hex head stainless screw kit is what I bought.

Tam54413 for the roll damper and tam53901? I can't find the trf damper in stock anywhere, know of any place? What piston/ oil is everyone starting with for the damper? Also are the factory tamiya springs the way to go or are there better options? Are the standard tamiya center damper springs compatible with the trf center damper or should I look elsewhere. I considered ride for the front king pins. I will be running on carpet 90% of the time low- medium traction.

You can run any short sedan damper. The trf blue matches the car better. That's all.

Anyone know when the f104vII dtitanium edition is suppose to be coming out? I have decided to get into the f1 game and think I won't pull the trigger until that kit comes out. Any ideas?

I got a bunch of 2x8 from mcmaster.com PN-91290A015. They are close to me so I picked them up. Probably about $13 shipped for 100.

Here is a pack of 20 from amain http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ocket-Screw-20

These are long and stick out the other end just a little.

Those are AE side links, in your pic
Tamiya 2mm screws are the proper length for Tamiya side links

AE screws are longer for AE side links

The titanium version will be released after the black edition.
The black edition release is anounced for march, i guess the titanium version will be released a month or so later.

I wish someone had the TRF in stock. Looking at 6 weeks+ if getting it on eBay.
