[QUOTE=vadersing;10710321]Has anyone ran wide front with rubber tires? what is the feedback?[/QUOTE

i ran an f104 x1 with f103 front and with pit shimitzu 103 rears and 103 fronts with the r sector conversion kit on it and it was very stable ..felt solid and never lost the rear on her.....but the narrow f1s where quicker in the turns.....and this was carpet racing

Too bad f1 is dead over here at Norcal. People can't decide on rubber or foam?
Didn't everyone at the last race run foam?

A picture with your post, when trouble shooting, will probably get more rctech help than without...

I had no idea there was an "R" version out. Looks really good. I'll have to try that chassis out.

yes we all ran on foams last week, but i'm almost out and can't find any pre-mount tamiya foams anywhere(I like the pre-mounts the best.)

Hey guys, I just built an F104w. I am new to F1 ( pan car) style chassis/ drive line. My local track is a wide open asphalt track. What is a good FDR and spur/pinion combo? Ill be running 64p.

Thank you in advance.

Start at 75mm rollout, and adjust from there

Rollout calculator:
http://www.gearchart.com/index.cfm?f...n=chart.create

choose pancar and measure your tire...

It will go down when its actually in stock. I'd imagine $225-250 range.

If it is W/O body, wheels and electronics it is still not cheap... I'd imagine "fair price" under $200.

There are so few parts in an F104 etc kit. I guess demand is high enough to support those prices . . at least until Sakura builds a new F1 that is equally competitive.
