Gluing sidewalls and getting ride height under 4mm has also helped our locals out ( on high grip carpet)Its also very important to make sure the rear pivot is free. There is a decent video somewhere on YouTube showing how to adjust the pod plate.

I have had good luck with the Rpm maxzilla, turquoise rotor at 55deg @ 3 to 3.1 ratio. For comparison I run my to at a 2.9 to 3.0 and my reedy at 2.8 to 2.85.

Hello all. Put my F1 on the track this weekend and found I had a hell of a time keeping the rear planted. Running 571/572 pits outdoors and added 28g of weight to the rear. Didn't feel like it was much help. Towards the later part of the main, it felt like the tires were finally gripping. Do the pits take about a race day (2 heats/1 main) or so to get "broken" in? Waiting on a local guys successful setup sheet to compare but from initial looks may be only fluids to change. Thanks.

Race indoors here on fairly low grip carpet. It took around 10/12 races before the Pits started to work for me, then they have been consistent. They aren't like touring car tyres where they give the most grip when new then get slower the more you use them.

Today we had our second race of the tamiyacup season.
My ver.II was a bit faster then my TRF101 and the car performed extremely well, i was using a silvercan motor and i won Every finale from a guy who was using a hobbywing sensord brushless motor (the one they use at the ETS races) and had a lot more more power then me but i was able to beat him with a more smoother driving style.

Hey Guys, i raced my F1 this weekend, the car ran really well, i was able to reduce the traction rolling issues by putting the copper soft springs in the rear, and Tamiya Silver soft springs in the front. For the shock, i have a TRF shock, with an Orange tamiya spring, and 35wt oil.
I ran the 573 F1-medium fronts and 575 R1-soft rears from Pit Shimizu, it ran good. I also tested the 577 front F3-mediums and the 579 rear R3-softs, the car seemed to push a little more. It's a medium-high grip carpet.
What i noticed, in both cases, the rear axel would want to lift, and it would slow me down, i could hear the diff slipping. I tightend the diff a little more between each run to see if it made any difference, and i never saw one.
I played with the toe, camber and caster (i have exotek type front top arms)
Anyone have any other suggestions to try? I know i can go faster if the car would be planted in the tight turns.
