A solid axle in r/c describes a one piece rear axle, as found on 1/12th, WorldGT and F1 chassis, and almost always includes a diff. The term comes from full size cars, where a solid axle is used in off road as a preference to independent suspension. An axle with no diff should properly be described as a locked axle.

The F113 is an update to the F109 and will compete officially against the F104, F1R style of car. The FGX is a completely different bird and really is in a class by itself. Having 2 FGXs I hate to admit that, but it really is true.

There is a bit of discussion about it in the FGX thread. Appears to be a FGX but with both front and rear Independent suspension.

EDIT: Perhaps not seeing how the wings mount. They must be developing a 3rd F1 car.
I asked them, they said the FGX independent front suspension will only come out as an optional part, there won't be a new car for this.

I wonder if you will see a rise in the popularity of the narrow cars in the UK as the f109
Is the most popular kit here. And the reason the 200mm foam cars still reign supreme

So if this front suspension will only be available as a upgrade to the FGX....what's with the "F113" designation ?? Is anyone sure about this yet ??
Please pardon the ignorance. I'm just getting back into F1 since my days racing the F201's. I feel about a million years old with all the new stuff in F1 RC. Been dying to see if this 4 wheel suspension car really happens. If it does..I'm a buyer.

I have to ask, have you read any of this thread or just looked at the picture of the FGX?

Especially looking at those wings that are under the F113 parts list they're Tamiya style mounting, not FGX.

It has nothing to do with the front suspension on the FGX picture above. 3Racing call the picture a new suspension system for the FGX, so I would presume it is just that, an option for the FGX.

Looks like they are going for a maximum attack on the F1 realm.

Max downforce body and wings, highly adjustable front suspension and rumoured solid rear end , to mix it with the other brands

Wonder whether they will do the R&D , or just let customers pay for the privilege ??

3racing says that the F113 front and rear wing sets will be available this week. No word on rest of car.
