Angry Help with quantum competition

I have a quatum competition 1 esc and I've been having problems with it. Last week I was getting to race and when I turned the esc on, it would run full speed by itself. The lights came on so I am convinced its not fried. When I press the setup button, it would stop but when i released it, it would start up again. I just tested it and the only way the steering servo would work was if I held the setup button down.......

Has anybody ever experienced this??

I had an experience exactly like this. The speedo wouldn't let me set up the throttle controls. Check to make sure the tangs (holds the terminal in receiver connector/ keeps them from pulling out)on the terminal are not touching any of the other pins in the receiver. What happened was as I was plugging in the other connectors into the receiver, one connector had caught onto one of the tangs as I was pushing the connector down into the receiver and made the tang touch another pin. So in other words check your receiver to make sure your connectors are good and straight. Hope this helps!
