Integy Batteries

Has anyone seen these or know if they are really as good as they look? 1.22 volts?? that seems like gold!

they match at 20 amps not 30... you have to compare apples to apples...

Still good batteries, but you can't compare them to 30 or 35 amp numbers...

lower the amp draw higher the voltage

They're cycled at a 20 amp discharge, you can't compare them to other companies who cycle at a 30 amp discharge.... The average voltage will always be higher on a lower load... Not saying they aren't good cells, just not comparable... I'm sure they're around 1.7+

LOL...i really have no idea what that means, Im still trying to figure out all this electric stuff, its real confusing to me...

so how will a lower amp discharge effect performance/runtime versus a higher amp discharge? and what does that actually do to the battery anyway?

It affects nothing but the numbers you see or the voices in your head telling you to buy them....

Just because Matcher A Charges their packs at let's say 5 amps and Discharges them at 20 amps doesn't make the actual battery any better than matcher B who charges at 6 and discharges at 30....

They are all using the same GP manufactured cell.... Some cycle more, some zap more.... They are all the same in the end....

I stay with companies that Charge at 6 amps and discharge at 30 amps because I can compare them to what I already own....

Is one way better, nope....

All you really want to know is if the batteries are closely matched performance wise... You really don't want a pack that has a severe difference in runtime or voltage in each of the cells....

The amps the battery is cycled at does not in any way, shape or form affect performance....

so when someone "zaps" a cell or something similar, what does it do internally to allow the cell to accept more voltage?
