Assembled the R-10 a few weeks ago & have stripped & rebuilt it again. I always do this with a brand I'm not used to (from Xray) so as to avoid any nasty opps factor when it hits the road. A T3'12 front bumper assembly complete looks more at home on it & fits without any mods, will be interesting to try the low friction bits on an Xray

Quality is quite excellent, though once you get all the extra goodies (not to mention the update to 2013 spec) the cost can blow out somewhat

Another week & I'll find out if it goes as good as it looks (I like it cause it looks like a revamped 008)... "to each his own"

I like the car and havent got mine yet! Spent $100.00 at Viper for some spares that would have cost me $300.00 on xray!

Has anyone run the car with the new shocks yet? 3 or 4 hole piston? Oil weights? Springs? I have not seen any setups posted with the new shocks yet.

I received my conversion today, quickly slapped it together and had a run tonight at our small indoor track, low to med grip. Tried a few options, started with 3 hole 450. Felt too stiff, went to 350, but thinking 300 will be better again.

I have not got the 4 hole pistons yet, but the local X-ray boys really seem to like the 4 hole 350 combo.

Springs are a good mix, and are also similar in size to X-ray, so options should be plentiful.

Overall impression is that the car generated more roll than the standard R10. After the final I had a quick run with lower top links and it felt better, more locked in and could get on the power earlier.

Looking forward to trying the flex motor bulkhead and the 4 hole pistons.

So I see people already running the R10 2013. No one is posting any positive feedback about the car. I guess there's nothing really exciting about it?

This car is great! I was going back in forth today when practicing with this car and my Xray! Same lap times and seems to turn alot better. I got people interested at my track and the owner! He is looking for a more reasonable priced car to have on hand! This is just the first day with this car. I knew when I was teching this car at Reedy it was going to be something special. Glad I got one!

Got a chance to give the 13' R10 it's maiden run. Very promising. Stable and lots of corner speed. Set it up to the default basic asphalt setting exactly and ran great. Not as nimble as my standard R10(which is really fast and agile) yet. Track was a bit green so didn't change anything. Will play with roll centers and springs next time but very pleased with the first outing. Those who are considering this car will be very please by it's performance.

What are the major/main differences between the 2013 r10 and the standard r10?

The differences are the shorter big bore shocks to compliment the lower front and rear shock towers. Also a more flexible chassis plate with the included floating servo mount. A slightly different motor mount as well. Besides that all other components are the same.
