Who's done Low shock towers and short shocks first ? where that idea came from?
The first TC commerically available with low towers and short shocks was the 3Racing Sakura about 4 years ago. I took one of the first pre-production kits to TITC that year.

Whats funny though is that we were all asking for taller towers (so that we could run regular springs) the 3Racing spring set was the only short spring set at the time)

Never said ARC came out with anything first. They did however beat Xray with having one car with multiple changes to it and for a lower price!

Cut insiode on the spit blocks gives you #0 same as the 1 piece standard. Running the cuts outside gives you #0.5 so with the standard rear #3 block gives you 2.5 of degrees toe in. Similar to running a #2.5 in the rear but with a wider track width.

Hi, just after a little help with some option parts for my R10 '13, specifically the dj cvd's. What is the difference between these two parts? Other than (I assume) the length. Is one for the front and the other the rear? I would've thought they would only be needed on the front end.

Short ones to go on the rear. Its just another tuning option. They tend to free up the rear of the car. I find it a little more inconsistent though. Not a bad option if your car is a little too planted

Thanks for the reply, I really only want a set for the front, but I might grab the rears as well for comparison.

Hi,
Out of interest, the people who ran the 2012 and now run the 2013,
What difference have you noticed on track between the two,on Tarmac and carpet?

I dont race carpet, but overall the 13 has much more overall grip, even more than a converted 12 kit. The lower bulkheads are slimmer, this must generate controlled flex giving a nice driving feel.

A new 13 kit is definately worth getting.

Talking to Fernando he told me the '13 feels like it has more mechanical grip, and with the smaller shocks and lower shock towers, its more stable as well.

As a point of reference, I think most of his running has been on carpet.

Thanks guys,
I got a 2012 for a bargain to see if I got on with TC,I have to say I love it
I'm racing against the new crop of cars, although the car isn't slow,I'm loosing out on the places the other cars have improved,as we run on carpet that buggys run we have very little grip so the gains are much bigger,
Do you think they will bring out a new car at Xmas?I don't want to get the 13 to find out they will

The 2013 platform works great and should for awhile. If they make a newer version I am sure they would have a conversion kit for the 2013's to change to. Maybe try looking at some asphalt setups and try if your carpet track has less grip!
