XRAY fitting. I'm using the RW Racing gears which I'm certain are the brand supplied by ARC in the kit.

I Believe the ARC shocks are consistent once they are built right. I do agree that it takes some learning curve to get consistent shock building and rebound amount. The trick is to drill a 1.0mm hole at the top of the plastic shock mount. This will help get the rebound you want and it makes life easier.

I don't mind the shocks. They don't give me a hassle at all. Maybe cause I drilled the shock caps and used reflex bladders from the beginning.

Ran the new 2.25mm chassis for the first time last night, i could not believe the difference it has made to the car, so much steering and so much grip. The first time in ages i can remember having a car that is actually overgripped on our shitty tracks, i would rate it as a mandatory upgrade for any ARC driver,

So how would you rank the chassis you have tried in terms of overall stiffness? And any thoughts on how the new shorter hingepins affect the car - one would assume it increases the toe-in for a given setting.

Hard to tell, it is definately more flexy than the kit chassis, i found the original flex 2.5mm chassis much the same. The 2.5mm TITC chassis was more flexy (moreso at the rear), the cutout on the 2.25mm is not as big as the TITC spec one, the 2.25mm still feels relatively stiff in the hand, and measures at a full 2.25mm on the verniers.

I really could not explain it, perhaps its a different weave, but it was substantially different.

I am looking to run tommorrow at a track that i historically suck on, i just cant set up a car for there, so will be interesting to see how it goes.

Default Fantastic car

Hi

I have now been running the car on asphalt 3 times now (as Capricorn TE-01) and it's a dream to drive. Running on sorex 38 with 2,25 chassis and the flex top plate , allready now super grip even that it's still preatty cold in Denmark (10-12 degress c) . How hard oil are you running in the diff in mod on asphalt?? So far I have been using 500csi MM

Thanks Michael

Diff oil is an odd one, i never feel like i get a conclusive result with changing it. I have run as light as 500, and as heavy as 5000,

Heavier oil makes the car accelerate better, and supposedly has less rotation in corners.

But like i said, have had varied experiences.

I have tried many different diff oils and i agree thicker = less rotation and more forward traction. Thinner= more rotation but less forward traction. I find it optimal using 800-1000 cst. for asphalt and 450-600 cst. for high traction surfaces like carpet

Hey guys, I'll double check the #'s (I'm waiting for my flight home) but I think the hinge pin length change is minor in its effect on the toe. I'll post the difference tonight.

Raced against a few of these cars getting ready for Reedy Sunday. They seem to be handling just fine and might just do well this week. Got me interested. Good luck!

Great news, mine was awesome in high grip at TITC, looking at the warmup video it looks like good grip.

There will be a lone Aussie there this year, Craig Mcphee, too bad he is running a Tamokomo.

Thanks for working hard at tech tables and glad you like the car Josh. We are always here to help answer any questions you have so let us know. Car was great all weekend and the handling was right where we wanted it. Hope you get one on your hands and you can represent ARC in Norcal area
