Default Stupid question time

Hi Guys. 1st I will apologise for my question that may be very basic for some of you guys but I am very new to electric. I have brought the Speed passion V3, 5.5 motor and Revention Pro speedo. I am trying to work out the best roll out to run for my R10. I have a 24t pinion to go on my motor but I am at work and so cant count the teeth and cant see in the parts list what size the rear diff case is.
I really also dont know how to calculate the roll out either to be honest. But if I can find out the numbers I am sure I can find the answer somewhere on the internet.
Also I am not sure what roll out I should aim for as I donít want to overheat my motor and speedo and damage them. I have the Sanwa Mt4 radio so am going to put the temp probe on my motor to keep an eye on things.

I saw on the Speed Passion website that they have an App to store setups and it said it covered all major brands. Dose anyone have that App and if so does it have the ARC Info in it yet.

Thanks and agian sorry if this is the most basic of question that I should know.
Andrew

Here is a good article on roll out. I haven't had my hands on an R10 yet so I am not sure of the gear ratios.

Hope this helps!

On rubber tyres, we don't usually adjust for rollout, we just adjust the gear ratio - diameter of a rubber tyre is consistent.

I imagine Speed Passion have some suggested gear ratios for on-road on their website or in the motor manual, I can't really advise because I have never run brushless modified.

The internal ratio of the ARC is 2.0:1 (38 diff, 19 pulley)

Hi Guys

Thanks for your help. I will have a look and see if I can get my head around it all.

So I spent the whole day at the Timezone Grand Prix running tech. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of an R10. I even walked the pits looking for one but there wasn't any there. Does anyone in the PNW run one???

Sorry, don't know if there is one there or not, don't think so.

It is great to hear about the instant successes with the R10 but we need more pics of everyone's cars

Lets keep this thread from falling back pages lol!

My buddy Seffry took a few arty shots of my car a few weeks ago (not on my pit table by the way)...

Not in performance. But they are easier to rebuild consistently.

Default Shocks

Just building my R10 kit now. My shocks went together well once I got the bladders all the way down into the cap assembly. Managed to get zero rebound easily, really smooth!
