Default The Mardave - Classic RC UK "Style"

I couldn't find a thread for these, but with the new Schumacher clone of this classic I thought one should exist. If one exits, oh well.

The Mardave

The high end kit, still very inexpensive and almost indestructible from what I see.

This looks interesting - Bangers!

It did , but just a short few practice laps

Does need a lot of set up work

remember this is a going to be a 'budget' 12th to try and get people into the class

ex World and European Champion David Spashett has some input on the setup for it's second run.

I'd like to know this also.

Gotta love wierd British technology. The Mardave would be a good addition to my collection. (I've also owned an Austin-Healey Sprite, a Telequipment oscilloscope, and a Mellotron. And I'm still looking for a TARDIS at a reasonable price.)

I believe they are currently only sold in the UK but if you give the guys a shout I am sure they would ship abroad.

I had one ages ago... i was still a kid, and i'm 32 now so its amazing to see they still go around. It was a mini shell. But to call this budget i think its a mistake. Its about the same price as a tamiya m-series, or tt01 and it isnt much more than a fiber plate with 4 wheels. It does bring batteries... but i think it could be cheaper.. Anyway as long as there are more ppl around to race them (witch there is) fun is guaranteed.

There are some exploded views on the Mardave site that show it pretty well. See:
