And being on the subject. The chassis has some cut outs just below rear pod. What are they for? Making space for the motor or...what?

I know the chassis is new, but some of you might now something I don't.

Thanks.

The cutouts are probably to allow the rear pod to roll more, the rules for GT12 require a full-length chassis plate.

My guess is that as the previous pod version allowed us to mount the motor on either side, perhaps these cutouts allow clearance for the motor can as the pod rotates side to side.

I ordered 2 of the previous version last week. Gotta wonder if an RMA will be accepted. I've asked, so we'll see.

I've posted in my local racing thread that some of these options are performance enhancements made to the base kit previously and now added to the GT. Don't get me wrong, I think they're great, but most of the new improvements have been done by some of the guys who love to re-engineer their kits.

My question is, will we be allowed to shorten our existing chassis and narrow said chassis under the pod plate? Or maybe an upgrade lower chassis. Our cars are pretty much 2 months old here in Madison and some hand holding to ease our bruised wallets would go a long way.

The cut outs are located at the rear just in front of the rear axel (birds view).

I understand that some 30g weights are available, according to manual the weights has be screwed in place. But I don't see any holes.

Maybe this part is DIY thing: You wan't the weights, you make the holes yourself.

I just checked the pics again and the weight available is to be used on a mount located just in front of the rear left wheel.

I remembered from the video that he mentioned something about balancing out the rear axel due to the weight of the diff.

Thus, the cut outs are not for adding weights. As I see it, anyway :-)

There is a little "shelf" infront of the back wheel on the opposite side to the spur for the weight to screw on. It says on the website the cars will be released near the end of the month.

Kits aren't there to ship at present - it'll just go on back order.

That's a bummer. It says two available. Guess we will just have to wait.
