Hey Guys would the Parma alfa body be too low in the front to fit on my FK'05 without the carpet front shock tower? I go 5mm ride height, and I always true my foams to 60 or under.

I just dont want to buy a new body and have it sit too high in the front. I run a mazda 6 body right now and it lays on the front shock tower. Any Info...

You can run the parma alfa with the regular cut line and it will touch the shock tower a bit, however I normally grind down my shock tower around 1-2mm on the top and also the shock tops as well to get the body a bit lower. If you really want to slam the body then you can take a lighter and the backside of a driver and push the body out and make indents for the shock tower, but thats neither ROAR legal or 100% worth it, lol.

But on carpet i am pretty sure the entire Xray team at the carpet nats ran the parma alfa and did not have any problems.

the plastic piece is a transponder mount as Little Bahnatka says and the screws and or rings and other bits are spares

From what i understand the fk05 comes with a 48p spur gear. I prefer 64p, and all my pinions are from 32t-36t what's the reccomnded final gear ratio for stock.

I had a buddy get picked up by Xray Canada on a partial deal...he was looking for a second car to run mod with, so I hooked him up with my FK04 back in January...I moved over to the TC4 (having acquired a couple in some nice trades)....what a mistake....

The TC4's even with graphite components and aftermarket hopups was still sloppy in some area, shile requiring handfitting in others to get parts to even fit!

The TC4's FELT fast on the track, but I've dropped my average lap times by .4-.6s after switching to the FK05...I've simply never had a car that transitions as quickly or handles as well.

The FK05 also seems to work with several different setups....I simply can't say enough about how much I love this car.

So to answer your question....yes...it's worth every penny..and THEN some

having ran mine for the first time on a medium-large abbrasive outdoor track this weekend here are my thoughts (for anyone that cares).

the car didn't feel any faster than the previous vehicle i was running, it did feel more consistent (better balance?). i really enjoyed the externally adjustable shocks. i wanted to go heavier up front....no 20 minutes rebuilding shocks, 2 minutes later and i was done. running 19t/stock, i had loosened the belts a notch from the book settings, no slippage what so ever. i ran a diff and it felt pretty planted, looking to try the one-way/multi-diff this weekend at socal. pretty happy all in all so far.

While we're on the topic of whether the FK05 is worth it, I'd be interested to hear what differences people noticed when moving from the FK04 to the new car.

The FK05 hadn't quite been released when the indoor season ended earlier this year, which is when racing stops for me. I'd be interested to hear what the car does differently.
