Hi all,

Last week-end, i tried for the first time Ride 32 on outdoor Asphalt. The tack have a very long straight line. I run with a 4.5 boosted.

But 7 times, one of my tires explode near the end of the straight line...
I tried other motor(5.5), less power, but the problem still happend...
I'm not the only to have this problem, but no one find a solution...

Who can help us?!

We also tested these tires for the On-road nats this year and had similar results....tire/wheel separation..not glued properly.....inserts deformed....total blow-out......

And you find a solution or simply use other tires?
Cause we must use these tires for the nats.. So we need to find a solution

It looks like the insert is blowing through the tire, unless you can get the insert changed, making less RPM, or possibly making your car heavier. Is it happening when the cars hit a bump and a tire unloads?

Never happend at the same place. the tack is not bumpy...
Can't change insert..
If I make a bigger whole in the wheel, to evacuate more air, You think it can be better?

I tried differents shock oils, from 450 to 550, but no change...

i think the tyre wasn't glued onto the wheel properly

if you look on the top of the wheel there is no rubber left on the wheel this i have had a lot with the Sweep EXP tyres i used 2 years ago in modified at my local track .

with mod you really need to watch the glueing on the tyres especielly on large tracks , we will be using them at ETS next month at Apeldoorn

I checked every run.. And I run only 5 minutes in Mod, no longer run..

Maybe you can try to make a hole from the inside and glue the insert on the wheel? Quite barbarian but...

i have been using the RIDE 36 for a little while now, i run 3.5T and boosted. apart from some bad gluing , these tyres last a long time, about 10 runs. i am about to try the RIDE 32 as well, but there are 2 options, one wiht Red writing and one with blue. the insert is different. but it looks like you have the red writing by the looks of the insert. try to peel the bead off the Rim, like really pull it back, i found once it started to peel off the rim, it was easy to peel the entire rubber of the rim, then reglue them. i baught only one set of 32, but i really think Mod, you need to use 36. it always baffles me that some one can make a decision wiht out properly testing tyres for a major event like you have.

The nats tire has not been determined yet. Happen on my car also a belt or something broke causing a bulge on second run.

You too huh? Had 3 runs b4 the same happened to me last week. Didn't have the problem with the lighter inserts (blue), bout 10-12 runs on them

Hello everyone,

The main issue here is about the very located lack of glue. The orange insert doesn't expand much actually. Here, the only extreme centrifugal force combined with located glueing weakness actually start the tire tearing to eventually totally explode.

Like it has been said earlier in this thread, modified class drivers (on long straight line track) must have a very tight watch on their tire glueing at all time.
Re32 compound remains softer than the Re36 which, to my opinion, would be more suitable for Modified/outdoor track racing.
The Re32 will bring more grip but the other side of the coin is you will have a shorter life and higher risk of tire tearing if the glueing is overlooked.

By the way, Ride includes (with the temperature chart) an additional note in each tire set saying this:

"Thank you for purchasing our product.
This item is already pre-glued. However, please make
sure the item doesn't show any unglued area. Apply
additional instant glue before the first use if necessary."

Then, I would recommend everyone to pull as hard as possible (finger/hand force only of course) on the edge of the tire/rims contact to detect any glueing weakness. Reglued any crack starts, even the tiniest one BEFORE ANY SINGLE RUN.
