30mm Fans.. whats the best?

I have built shrouds like that and used them pulling air thru the motor and pushing it . Your loose efficiency both ways because the fans can't handle the back pressure. Even mounting the fan to close to the motor without a shroud slows the airflow. I wish someone would make a honeycomb aluminum heatsink to increase surface area and maximize cooling.

the superior hobbies fan was tested from 8.4v all the way down to 6v to show how the power drops of during a practice run. Simply takes more time to test multiple voltage levels.
yes its short because the R1 test vid was taken & sent as a text message (grainy vid). Was originally intended to send to a couple of test drivers only. This was the first time we reached almost 12grams of thrust on any 30mm fan. Production version will be slightly lower.
We just tested a new design this week with even more thrust. Future generations will push even more thrust at 6v. More prototypes are in process soon.

Any reason why your video is 24 seconds long and the Superior fan is almost 5 minutes long? Did your fan not make it 5 minutes? Also it appears that you're holding the fans at different distances away from your scale, you should really build a jig to hold the fans over the scale to get a more accurate reading instead of just guessing at how far away your holding the fans.

OK guys - I've tested a new fan that I'm pretty happy with. Side Piece Racing is doing something different this time around. We've partnered up with a new company that has a fantastic name -- Wild Turbo Fan, or WTF!! We will be bringing WTF to North America starting with their 30mm fan. It runs off 8.4v and cools better than my prior Geisha Fans. Here is a pic ---
The few that I have left are available at http://shop.awesomatixusa.com/wild-t...motor-fan.html. We just put a HUGE order in with the manufacture.....

The WTF fan looks a little thin... You sure these blades will hold up ???
