Hello iic attendees.
If anyone has a spare touring car setup station they would not mind letting go of at the race, let me know.

Thanks.

Geometrically defficient

The WGT cars just look so good with lights. Hopefully I can get these brakelights properly mounted and functional.

AHHH YEAHHHH Just booked flights and hotel rooms! FYI for those that haven't booked rooms yet, the group deal has expired but if you have AAA the rates aren't that far off from the IIC group rates.

This will be my first time going to this race.
Is there anything I need to avoid?
For that matter what is a must do while I'm there?

How can I maximize my practice time?

avoid hanulec at all costs!! hah

but seriously, avoid super late nights during racing, and get that over with during practice. It will help you out in the long run.

And there isnt any way to "maximize" practice as most of your time on the track is going to be practice by heat. But during controlled practice you could charge multiple packs and make small adjustments between packs and be ready to go pretty quick.

mtb,

Arrive the first day with legal bodies and proper wing heights (below roof height). Following ROAR guidelines will save you a lot of hassle.

Each morning, be ready with charged packs for practice and tires prepped. Don't be surprised to see cars on the track within minutes after the doors open.

Be around at the end of the day to find out what is REALLY expected to happen the next day. If you don't know...Ask!

Be prepared for overnight resorts. Can easily make you miss a scheduled practice/qualifier run.

Be prepared for Scotty to run a 'tight ship' time-wise through all the practices and qualifiers.

Get to tech two races before your run. Quite often, you need to initially have the body off.

Make sure your car is going to pass tech. Overcharging above the specified voltage is not tolerated. Ride height and weight are always checked.

Good tips, thanks. Few questions.

Do people typically bring their cars/stuff back to the room and getting them charged/sauced up prior to heading down to the track in the morning? ie: is it cool to be doing that in the hotel room as opposed to the ballroom/track area?

For those that are running a class earlier in the heat/run order, is there a place/person to obtain any new information from regarding the next days schedule?

From the first day until the day before the mains the plan is to keep everything the same. There is a drivers meeting before practice starts that includes the buffet if I remember correctly. A lot of information is covered during this time so if you have any questions you can ask then or during anytime of the event.

If you are a Facebook or Twitter fan whenever something is posted on Facebook it gets tweeted out.
