haha, I'm very excited. My first "big" race. Got my race paint the other day, travel's all booked up and will be registering soon. A good group from CO is coming. Should be fun.

Mi... ni... Mi.. ni.. Mi.... Oh, wait. Nevermind. That would be a mini class, not a touring car class. Wouldn't it?

Dang the luck.

How about a VTA class? Both of the ROAR Nationals (Carpet and Paved) have a VTA class. The Snowbirds has a VTA class too. So how about VTA at the IIC?

+1 on the VTA vote. The VTA class is based on a Touring car chassis, so it falls under the category of Touring classes.

The current ROAR Champion in VTA, Tony Phalen, is also an author for RC Driver Magazine. In the newest issue of RC Driver you can read an article that Tony wrote about Vintage Trans Am. I honestly believe that interest in VTA is growing nationwide as well as worlwide (e.g. Australia).

Tony's article on VTA can be found in issue 106 of RC Driver magazine.

People who like vintage are the same sort of people who think Olive Garden is a classy place to eat out. Just sayin.

That is true. The VTA racers I race with always say "When you're here, you're family!" I have seen VTA racers give their parts to other VTA racers just to help them keep on racing in the mains. During the "HPI Vintage Tire Drought" last year I gave my last set of Vintage tires to another club racer who was just trying to put his VTA together for the Fall Classic Race. I guess that's just how we roll.
