SAC, thanks but I've been forced to curb my spending on older equipment so I can concentrate on new stuff. Like a Sigma 2 !!
Does anyone know when the website will be back up ?? It appears the English version of the Kawada Japan site is also being updated. Maybe this means good things for the future !!
I wonder if Kawada will submit their 27t motor for ROAR approval ?

Better to wait to get a Sigma2 .First batch of kit's have come and gone at the U.S distributor,as well as most replacement parts.Second order due in by the end of the month/early april.May be in time to get some of the new 27t .If so i am sure a motor will be sent to ROAR for approval .If not,it can run as a outlaw stock .Which is what most club racer's run anyway.
The kawadaracing site (U.S KAWADA SITE) will be back up soon ,maybe by this weekend.

I ran it last weekend. The car seems to be a bit loose. I'll be rebuilding the car, especially to the shocks and steering. I guess it's due to too many plastic parts. If only Kawada can replace those steering parts with aluminium, that'll be good.

Think my bearings are wearing out too. Need to change them too.

We'll see how it goes after that.

The Sigma1 runs the same steering parts ,and i have heard of no problems with them ,if it is just wear than you might want to get the ball bearing /carbon fiber steering rod from Kawada's option parts for the Sigma's.As for the bearing ,a good cleaning and oil may get them in great shape again!aluminium part's for the steering may not be best option,it does not allow for any give during a crash or hard hit.
If you find out anything on the Kawada's new 27t motor, please post.
Anymore Sigma2's running at the track now?

Have you had a chance to try those shock springs out yet?

Nope, won't race again until the 10th...assuming this damned rain will stop !! Surprised to hear about steering component issues. My Alcyon uses the same material I suppose and they've proven to be rock tough. These cars have so much steering that you would have to really over do it to stress anything.

Well, i guess it's just the wear and tear stuff that you'll get from having plastic parts. The front wheels and steering have lots of free play (like having extra 2 degrees of camber and toe-in/out). Maybe the bearings are worn out. I'll just have to find more time to re-build this though to see where the problem lies. By the way, I'm running 8T most of the time, so wear rate should be higher than those running stock.

Let me know what you find out about the front end.Are you running inside or outside and what kind of surface?
Have you by chance weigh the Sigma2 against the Sigma1 to see if the weight loss on the Sigma2 is noticable?just wondering.
Still no word on the 27t motor ?
thanks
