comm explosion

how far should i cut the comm intill i run the risk of haveing one of those copper comm plates pell up in a run, i read it could happen on big jims motor forums and i know i can really mess up you brush hoods and other motor parts if it happens in a race?
i run a team orion element 19t mod motor

Small comms start at .300 and you can go safely down to .270......

Large comms start at .350 and you can go down to .315....

Anything below these is playing with fire.....
