I'd love to run one of these endurance type races.
Obvious question is, how do you keep everything cool? If geared right, can you run continuously for 90 minutes?
How many battery packs would you need to cycle between?
Do people make any mods to make pitting faster or does that not really factor in anyway?

Its all in the strategy to make the duration. You will need to make sure you keep things cool and decide when to do battery and driver swaps.
I don't think special battery mounting will be necessary. I would advise using a car setup that can mount a battery without having to use tape though.
