Sheesh .... I'm dizzy now (in-car video).

I'd run these if our local track held VTA. I watched the real stuff as a kid & young adult ... then ran them as hot-rods on Woodward Ave (as I'm sure many of the current VTA racers, may have done as well).

Here's a x-ray 009 with spares for a decent price. Click Here
Here's an 010 that you might be able to get for a decent price. Here
And that's just using the advance search and going through a few pages.
In all reality any higher end TC from within the last 7-8 years would work. Associated, Hot Bodies, Tamiya, Xray, and Serpent all have cars that would work great just find what people are running locally and go with that brand. There are plenty in the for sale section at reasonable prices all you have to do is dig a bit.

I think you actually got some better footage after Danny adjusted your camera angle.

When do you think VTA will update their ESC list, many of the ESC on the current list are obselete or have been revised part # wise? With so many reasonably priced ROAR legal blinky ESC it's time!

ugh.....

the list works as is - there is no need to mess with it by allowing other ROAR speedos in the mix...

The guys that test stuff will allow other speedos in as they are tested and prove to equal and everything..

When you say many are obsolete, do you mean 2 out of the 13 ESCs on the list? Granted the Novak XBR and Slyder are obsolete and I reckon the reason they are still on the list is just in case somebody still has one they can run it in VTA. Of the remaining 11 ESCs on the list, 9 can be purchased brand new while the Novak GTB Series (1710, 1711) and Novak Havoc Series (1732, 1733, 1735) are getting harder to find even as used ESCs. I searched for each ESC to see where they can be purchased. The list of links below will take you to a web page where that particular ESC can be bought.
  1. Novak Club Brushless ESC (#1852)
  2. Novak Edge 2S Brushless ESC (#1850, 1851)
  3. Novak Mongoose Micro Brushless/Brush ESC (#1718)
  4. Novak GTB2 Racing w/X-Drive (#1749)
  5. Novak GTB2 Racing w/X-Drive- Low Profile (#1748)
  6. Novak GTB 2 Sportsman Racing Brushless ESC (#1708, 1709)
  7. Novak GTB series part numbers: 1710, 1711
  8. Novak Havoc series part numbers: 1732, 1733, 1735
  9. Novak Slyder (DISCONTINUED) part number: 1712
  10. Novak XBR (DISCONTINUED) part number:1720
  11. LRP A.i. Brushless Reverse part numbers: LRP80100, LRP80150
  12. Speed Passion Cirtix Stock Club Race ESC part number: 12280
  13. Speed Passion Reventon Stock Club Race part number: SP000048

great research....

and you are correct...the esc's remain on the list, cause if you do have one, or get one used...its still legal...taking an esc off the list cause the co. isnt making it anymore will just cause confusion

Thanks guy's I was doing research on the ESC and I like using Speed passiom amd they have not had the Citrix on there site in a month but this morning it was listed so I bought one. I would have bought a Reventon but the Part # is different.
Once again thanks for showing me my error. But SP has changed part# on the Reventon models Speed Passion Reventon Stock Club Race ESC Part Number #SP000060. I believe that is the replacement for the #SP000048?

Don't confuse the "Reventon S" with the "Reventon Stock Club". When I pull up #SP000060 I get the "Speed Passion Reventon S ESC - Orange" which has programmable Race Profile Settings in it.

The USVTA approved part number - #SP000048 is the "Speed Passion Reventon Stock Club Race ESC." It has a black case instead of orange. It has no programmable Race Profiles or any kind of programmable timing whatsoever.
