The class almost died last year because people were running HPI firebolt motors with a Losi ESC.
Darn cheaters, im glad I wasnt in the class then...
I immediatly removed those from my car and installed a 17.5 motor with GTB esc. Now my car is legal for my area.
Now if I was racing in Nashville or some other area yeah I'd buy a 25.5 motor.
But are you guys running 2s with a 25.5?
come down anytime, Ill loan you a 25.5 to come play....

oh beware that the

2012 US VTA Southern Nationals in Music City, USA will be OFFICIAL US VTA RULES...

and Ill still loan you a 25.5 Novak of mine...cya soon

where in KY are you running?

I race here but we are not starting VTA until the winter.
I'll be running Corr truck on thier offroad, and then they change the track
around so we can race Vintage Trans Am. So it's a given that I can run offroad,
and onroad on the same day. It's pretty nice to be able to do both.

VTA was the animal last year but there were still several heats of USGT so if you have a ride I would campaign that as well.

Well it's good to hear that VTA racing has a home in Nor-cal. I met Tony Phalen when he was in Dallas for the ROAR Carpet Nationals. He said that he was going to try and kick-start a VTA class in So-Cal, TQ Racing in Chino. I haven't heard any updates from Tony, so I am wondering if VTA ever took off in Chino.
