Twice? Those wheels usually retail from $7.50 front to $9.00 rears. The tires are about $12-14 fronts and $14-15 rears. Allow $6 for shipping and 10% for supply and demand and you are right at $50 plus.

Hopefully the powers at be will have a new tire solution soon for VTA, this tire thing is becoming a drag.

The word from those in the loop, is the tires should be available June-ish.

On carpet, no. On asphalt you can run them till the foam shows, at least in my experience.

That sounds real good, any word on dimensions? Still going to be a narrow front / wide rear setup?

When the tires become slicks they are no longer legal. Rules state there must be visible tread remaining on tire.

Most tracks still allow a tire to be used as long as there is any visible tread left.

This is not in the USVTA rules.

With today's tire issues(availability). I think they won't mind people running slicks(worn out tires) till tires become more available

My understanding is the new tires will be as close to the HPI tires as can be produced. I think they will be compatible with HPI rims. As for pre-mounts?
