. My LHS has had no problem getting them.I think you just liked torturing every one with it like you do.
It did handle well at the birds. Of course that could have been the chassis. Nah it has to be that Parma shell.

When I drive a clean race I have the normal group of VTA guys at my track pretty well covered. I can at least run top 3 almost every race. Every once and a while someone shows up and runs the class that I just can't keep up with. What am I missing?
I run a TC4. Timing and gearing are pushing the limit with temps. Set up drives great. Bearings and diffs are decreased and free rolling. I just don't know where I am losing speed on some guys.

Nothing wrong with the tc4, maybe a more recent chassis could offer something, but plenty of guys are competitive with that chassis. When you say you are pushing the limit with temps, what is the temp? What kind of track? Big, small, tight, open? Not that I am all that special, but I usually set my gearing at 3.5 for vta with a lot of motor timing for indoor carpet, lower gearing for bigger outside tracks. I've been down into the 2's on asphalt.

as a long time Oval guy, generally most of us who are chasing speed are losing it in the handling/corners.
On a Oval w/ only 4 corners - 2 entrance/2 exits, it makes a huge difference...
But think about that on a Roadcourse... 10, 12, sometimes MORE corners.
If you over drive the corner and scrub speed coming off just a LITTLE on each corner...you've lost a Ton of Time over a whole lap.
If you are using 70% steering rate while someone else can get through the corners with only 20-25% rate - you are losing speed that you may not even feel.
Myself, I tend to drive way to deep into a corner, then have to force the turn...instead of making a nice smooth corner with an early entry and good exit... I KNOW IT, but can't ever seem to fix it - I get close sometimes...then WHAM I short cut a corner and lose a whole lot more time then if I'd just kept the line I'd been running.
I am always in such awe of the Open Mod guys and how they take corners...

I hear you, I guess I've always enjoyed "over-driving" a bit... I just have more fun that way. When I make the point to ease into corners, keep it tight, and get it back on power / in a straight line quick I run better laps. but I get bored of it.
