At least you can acknowledge there is a "problem"

Problem was in quotes, so he is not really acknowledging there is one. Adding different motors will allow for people to come up with more "problems" with them... Plenty of people at the USVTA race in Fort Wayne this past weekend and I didn't hear anyone complaining about the motor rules.

However, if the timing rule was set for the older motors anyways. I wouldn't be against letting people crank them up as much as they want. Full timing is not always the best anyways. Less things to tech I guess. Just means some people will push the motors and need to buy a new one sooner...

I have always kept mine at 37 and geared around that anyways. Good corner rip, good speed for me. I am sending it to have it set on a dyno, curious how close it will be to that when I get it back. Its 2years old.

Probably the only tires that are allowed in VTA.

Look how large 17.5 is. Open to all MFG's. People have tons of options. So if one MFG is garbage, they have other options to run. Example, when is the last time a Novak motor won anything above a club race that wasnt VTA? Reedy is a respectable company with a great racing pedigree, why not allow their motor too?

There is USGT with open 21.5 motor rule but is it more popular than VTA?

And what would be the tires that are reccomended for high bite carpet? Would those be the same part number or would they be the other only tires allowed in VTA. What about low bite carpet on a cold track in an unheated warehouse. What tires would you use for that? Would those also be the only tires allowed in VTA? Or the other only tires that are allowed in VTA.

This isn't the first time I have seen this either. It does however leave a very sick feeling in my stomach to know that some will go to this extent, for in most cases a bowling trophy, instead of learning how to get the absolute best performance out of what they have.
