So lets multiply this "problem" by whatever number of manufactrers out there. Great idea.

The fact is the motors are set at the factory so they apply the sticker to reflect the actual 30* mark. In the end the only reason there is a timing limit was to protect the ss and club motors. Other than that there is no reason to regulate the timing.

At the triple crown race this past weekend my motor didn't get past 100 degrees after any of the 8 min triple A mains. I was even at the max timing mark. I do run a fan and use the vented endball kit and that helps.

Fair enough. I'll worry about it at a big race... for my club racing needs, it will be ignored. Locally speaking, the conclusion is that it's there, and that's about it. Adjust as needed and race.

For the first time we had something 'similar' to USVTA in the UK at the weekend.
It was the first ever International Carpet Challenge (ICC) which had around 120 entries for the TC classes. But as a fun class we have one heat running the 'HPI Vintage' class.
We used HPI's vintage slicks with their bodyshells (almost all Camaro's) and 17.5 blinky motors.

In the third final the white'ish car had one person doing throttle while another did steering and I let a friend drive it, as I said, this wasn't a serious class.
But quite a few people have said they'll run it next year

+ YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

2h57:30 For the first final
3h53:30 Final 2
5h23:20 Final 3

Apart from having to run 17.5 blinky, we were free to run whatever electronics we wanted, we didn't bother with a weight limit either.
In fact I think the only thing we were ever checked on was ride height to mask sure we weren't damaging the carpet

The Novak web site lists it as being "ROAR approved", but I don't think it is yet. Not that it matters for USVTA.

Who will be the first to bug Rob about getting it tested for USVTA?

Hopefully, it's behind the Tekin in the line to be tested. I'm still hoping.

I'm thinking VTA isn't for you. Maybe 4w short course?
