Thank you Tekin for building it, and RobK for all that it takes to make sure new esc's on the list are fair and don't upset the balance. I know that's a lot of homework. EA everytime I turn around you are doing something to help VTA. Thank you for smiling on this class.

If you dont get in touch with them by next week I'll let Randy know you need to talk to him about it to get it VTA legal or possibly VTA legal.

It's been another near 24 hours since I last checked this thread and the Tekin has not yet been approved?

Unacceptable.

( Fingers crossed, hope that gets a thumbs up.

Say it conforms to all rules as far as timing etc go but is somehow a lot quicker than any other esc out there, would you not approve it?

I just spent the last few days reading through all 350 pages of this thread, and then it died! I'm sorry!

Default Any tracks in Michigan supporting USVTA?

Hello, newb here...seems I may have put the cart before the horse as they say. Been into RC for years, just caught the VTA bug and am assembling a car but when I went searching for somewhere to "play" there seems to be nowhere within a 100 mile radius or further where any organized racing is held. Probably have read 200 or so pages of Sak Zero S and VTA pages and now really have the bug! Hate RC sometimes....must have had 20 or thirty cars, trucks you all know...preaching to the choir! Anyway car is one of those Turnigy TD10's/ Sakura Zeros S knock offs, set up for VTA just waiting for the new Protoform TA body to arrive and some misc chassis bits, sway bars etc. Using the HobbyWing Justock esc for starters.

Also, not really on a budget but this TD10 seems to be a great start for this level of racing, kit went together well, seems parts are well engineered, may have, with a Novak motor under $350 or so.

BTY...very cool to see and read these threads, there's considerable dedication to the hobby and great well thought out feedback given to those looking for genuine advise.

So back to my original query, anyone from SE MI looking to get into USVTA racing?

He doesn't just read the specs and stamp his approval. He actually puts the product through testing that is quite rigorous. He even has a team if you will to help him with the testing. It takes a little time. Definitely not instamatic.

Of course. I've raced with and against Rob for years, to say he's very detail oriented is an understatement. And I wouldn't even need or use it until next spring since asphalt season is over here... but if it's approved I can do a whole lot of bench racing/admiring it over the winter.

odd question here.

For those who have run the Xray T3 2012 vehicles in VTA with the HPI Challenger Body, how long did you need your body posts to be? I got some of these on the way as well as the bodies, but not sure if I need to order new body posts which from X-ray are $$$ or if the ones I have will work that are cut.

By the way, do other brand body posts work or is it pretty much X-Ray?

I expect it to be approved. I say that because of all Tekin has been through. I don't think they would release something that wasn't right. I think Robs testing will bear that out. Maybee that's optimism.

I just finished a Spec-R R1 and I'm pretty sure the body post are identical. I dont have my new T4 yet to compare to be 100% sure though

I just looked them up, the rears appear like they would, but the front would not. The TC6 are mounted on top of the bumper and would be too short.
