My vta went on a diet and lost100g. Now it is a usgt car. I need to get another chassis to rebuild into a vta car again. That and the super long drive. I will have to miss this one.

That's easy to fix. Just switch your body to a Parma Hemi Cuda body. It's at least 100 grams heavier than any of the HPI bodies. Now you meet the minimum VTA weight requirement.

Currently running my sakura zero in usgt but I was thinking of getting a sakura xi for usgt and putting the zero back into vta. A friend of mine recently went this route and he is pretty happy with the xi in usgt.

I dunno about a "steal".... Tower Hobbies has the same RTR kit for $243 and right now if you use coupon code 011B5 you get $30 off the order and free shipping, bringing it down to $213 to your door. If you're already a Tower Hobbies Savings Club Member ($10 yr) you can use code 011M5 to get an extra $5 off bringing it down to $208. Plus you can use Easy Pay to split the payment up over 3 months for the budget conscious.

I think you'd need to drop the price a bit......

Just curious... how many of you balance your VTA tires/rims?

Not currently... but is it something you do? Serious question, if it is simple to do and makes the car more consistent I'll give it a shot.

I've done all my offroad tires for years. With that being said, never really gave any thought to doing these.. saw the balancer while straightening up tonight and figured I'd field the question.

With the offroad it *really* cuts down on tire vibration... seems like it would help more here, just wondering if these are 'too slow' to matter much. Seeing people spend money on dcj's to eliminate chatter I never personally thought was a problem is along the same lines.

Yeah, actually when I raced off-road years ago I did balance wheels/tires, just haven't though about doing it with on-road. Might give it a shot though, certainly can't hurt.

I balance my VTA tires. They are bulkier than touring car tires and alway have a heavy spot. The difference is very noticable when you hold the car in the air and rev the motor freely. Just don't know how that translates to the track but it certainly can't hurt.

I looked at balancing mine and on the 3 sets that I have they are all fairly balanced. only one was off enough where my balancer noticed it and that was cause it was worn out and the foams had bunched

just my $.02

Ok. Then I will make my own coupon code. It's called "MATCHTOWERHOBBIESPRICE" and it's only available to somebody on RCTech.
So the first person on RCTech who sends me a PM with "MATCHTOWERHOBBIESPRICE" in the subject will get this Brand New HPI Sprint 2 w/ 1969 Camaro Z28 VTA body for $208.00 + $9.99 shipping. For a total of $217.99. How about that for a deal?
.
