I pretty much just locked mine in at 45* timing and left it there then played with the gearing until I got the car to have the speed I was looking for and the temps in the 150 to 160 range. The only time I ever really turn the timing down is when we race outdoor asphalt in the summer. It gets mega hot down here then. It took me the longest to realize that going closer to a 4.0 fdr actually made the car faster. These 25.5 motors don"t have much grunt for torque so you have to gear it in if that makes sense. Hope this helps.

However much you think you need. I'd try and run as little as possible so you can carry the maximum speed in the corners and keep the heat out of the motor.

Well, my TC4 should be shipped on Thursday, I have a Hobbywing 1s ESC on the way, and I have an HPI 1970 Challenger body painted. I guess when I add a 25.5 motor, I'll be ready to go. :=)

I saw the same with a guy at my local VTA race. He had a HW Justock in his car and he was crazy fast! I just ordered my HW Justock today and I plan to change out the Novak Edge in my VTA with the Justock. Who can argue with a $49.75 ESC that gives you better performance?

Hmm... Is the Hobbywing Justock really faster than the Novak Edge?
