My track is a ROAR track so we have to have ROAR batteries regardless of the VTA rules

Thanks for the comments, I will start telling the guys to sell their blinky and 53-5500mah batteries and just go ahead and get the cheap ~30c batteries

What ESC is still available? just the citrix and the small novak? We have a hard time getting citrix at my LHS

I built 3 USVTA legal cars for right about $700 from nothing to going on the track. And that included 1 DX3R. GTB's can be found on here quite often for cheap, due to many racers "needing" latest and greatest. 2 of the cars had GTB's and 1 the legal Havoc. Just takes a little "shopping" I guess you could call it on here and other places like fleabay and the like.

Man after all the PMs, Smoke signals, carrier pigeon messages I got...

ROAR does have VTA class rules too...so if your track is a ROAR track...use the ROAR VTA rules.....any ROAR 25.5 and ROAR blinky ESC...also any ROAR 7.4 lipo. This will solve all your issues....

Just know that if you want to be fully USVTA legal then you will have to follow their rules.

The USVTA rules are written in away so that it allows the local tracks to adjust the rules to fit their group of racers....just know that once you open this door its hard to close it thats why so many of the VTA guys are hard liners!

This body, Parma 10114 '69 Monster Muscle Car Body, looks like it is modeled after a Chevy Chevelle. It could pass for a Chevy Nova too.

None of the VTA bodies are "190mm" bodies. This Parma body is also not a 190mm TC body. All of the VTA bodies are 200mm bodies but we put them onto 190mm TC chassis. The 31mm wide rear wheels with 6mm offset on the back end make up that 10mm difference. The 26mm wide front wheels fit fine under a 200mm body.

Go to http://rjspeed.com/, there is a link at the top of the page to old stock of the old BoLink bodies. There is a '68 Chevelle SS part number is BOL2213 called just "SS". Front should be sized about right but the rear is more than 200mm.

That's cool. But does the Parma monster fit convincingly on an electric Tc is the real question being asked. This is really more for show/concours

geno, thanks. I like it. I'll see what my friend thinks.

For trivia's sake...

If you look through the old results for the SCCA Trans Am class, at one race a guy ran what was described in the results as a Chevy II Nova.

I'd have to do some digging to find them again, but it was interesting to look at all the old results from back in the day.

Was Dan Spiegel the driver of that Chevy II Nova? I went to the Historic Trans Am web page and looked for "Chevy Nova" in the roster. It says that car number 95 was a 1966 Chevy II Nova that was originally driven by Dan.

http://www.historictransam.com/Drive...tanosNova.html

That's the link... but where i first saw it was the actual, scanned, results sheet for each race, each track, each class. Some of them even had handwritten notes in the margin.

BINGO!!!!!!!

Change the year before the .pdf
