they must be putting a whooping on ya up there, cause all of these "loop-holes" are amazing...well if its bad now ...just wait till April when I get back up there...you going need that new Black & Decker 22.5 stator that comes pre-soaked in Chuck Norris juice(dont ask what juice), to even stay on the same lap as me...

BTW, that goes for you too Robk and Natt...cya soon at the 2013 Scale Nats

I have my next shipment that will be here tomorrow. I sold the first order of them in a matter of days. This order is larger.

The Genace batteries are made by a factory that can make really really good lipos.....for about 8-10 cycles and then they start to loose mah, voltage and ir goes up. They use a chemical that makes them react really hard the first few cycles but at the expense of cycle life. You may not notice the drop in MAH running VTA due to the lower amp draw and not getting that deep into the discharge curve. I tested a lot of samples from this factory and if they could make a lipo with the performance of the first few cycles last the whole life of the pack they wold be great! Its also the reason why they are much cheaper than other packs. The chemical used for this is much much cheaper since its of a lower grade. There are several other companies that use this same factory for their cells. Most of the more economical cells come from this place and all act the same way.

For the money and certain applications they are good packs as long as your cycle life isnt a priority.

Hope maybe that helps

I have a 5000mah 65c gens ace already, that's why I asked. My next battery will more than likely be a EA battery, but figured I'd ask to get that feedback about any difference.

Thanks.

I have 4 40c 5000mAh Gens Ace that I bought at the 1st of the season. They were killer out the gate, but after a couple months they started falling off after about 4 1/2 to 5 minutes in a run, car would loose its punch. I am very persistant with lipos, NEVER charge them without being on the balance mode, and always discharging them to 7.6v after use.

I bought 2 of the VTA 70c 5000mAh EAM packs from Eric at the nats and there IS a noticable difference, especially in an 8 minute main. His packs fit better, are lighter, and would work for any other class I decide I want to run.

I with you on this...I did the same thing with Bubbas Gen Ace lipos during Birds week...I ran them against my Reedys and notice mid run that the power was gone....

they are powerful out the gate, but fall off bad during the run. I cycled them and the numbers where all over the place...

I dont think you can go wrong with the Reedy Wolfpacks or the EAM lipos for USVTA competition

Well I guess if we can use a 78 Trans Am as a pace car then we can let you drive the vacuum truck.

Yea I thought that my motor was falling off after it warmed up. Eric G. let me use one of his Orion Carbon 90c packs and I did nearly 10 minutes with it and it was still great, next morning I bought the EAM packs and haven't ran anything else since. With a 3c charge rating I can get powered up as quick as I want. My LHS owner was demo'n a battery checker for a customer, he used my pack and it showed 0.002v difference between the cells. The pack was storage charged over a week prior to that.

the GORC in Georgia this Saturday is looking really good for USVTA and USGT turn-out. Plenty of stiff competition for all...I talk to the guys there..we are looking at 25-30 cars..in VTA alone...cant wait to get there
