The rules state
"For the HPI Mustangs which are not provided with a spoiler:
A lexan spoiler of 16mm total height from trunk deck, and overall chord of 20mm is allowable."
Does this allow the use of the spoiler/wing that comes with the HPI104926?
If not does somebody have a picture of what they are talking about?

-----------
I've run most of the legal VTA bodies, and a rear spoiler isn't necessary for a good handling car. It is just another tuning option. If you choose to run any of the HPI cars that come with rear spoilers and lose the spoiler during a race, you might notice that your car may experience oversteer/become loose.
I find it more common that I'm trying to free up the rear of my car in part due to the 31mm rear tires having a lot of grip. I should add that I'm running a front ball-diff and I tend to late brake/drive deep into corners, so my experience on the track might be different than other racers.

What this rule means is that when measured from the deck vertically, the top of the wing can be no more than 16mm. The length of the plastic measured from where it originates from the trunk can be no more than 20mm. So what it says is that there must be some angle to the spoiler.
And yes, a NASCAR spoiler would be an apt comparison.

After racing almost every form of rc cars for the last 30 plus years i must say that USVTA has done wonders for attracting new people to the hobby and at the same time helping racing in general. I (Kris Poloncak) have been lucky to be part of this exciting class since it was started and whether being raced on carpet, blacktop or even indoor prepared concrete, I have had some of the closest and most exciting races in my 30 plus years of racing! I have seen the people in charge of USVTA take alot of heat from the racers over the years and I for one am glad that they stuck to their original plan...keep things simple and offer a class that is affordable for someone who is just getting started. Thanks again to all of those involved that make TA racing what it is today...great competitive realistic racing that puts a smile on almost everyones faces. Good racing to all...

Well said Kris. I believe that U.S. VTA is the best thing to happen to On-Road R/C Racing. VTA has the potential to be as big as the Short Course Trucks are right now in Off-Road.

I promised last year to buy it if you would make it. Im talking about a USVTA legal speedo that is Tekin small and tekin kool. Plus I just love that Knight Rider bar that you put in the others. So I will be waiting with a hand of cash. Thanks again Jim for supporting this class.

If a Tekin speedo is connected to a Novak motor, isn't there going to be a thermo-nuclear reaction?

The Novak and Tekin will work fine together...I ran a Tekin in sedan w/ 17.5 Novaks and never had an issue, so we should be good...Im trying the HW Justock in my TC4 w/ reman Novak ss 25.5, and its working really good..
