Hobbypartz is reliable and ships quickly. They also do shipping free over a certain dollar amount most of the time.

Excellent, Thanks guys.
I wound up ordering the 50c's they were cheaper than the 40c's. With the 40c's you have to buy the wires separate.
I hope they as as good as the 40c's
I ordered from Hobbpartz on Sunday and received them today in Wisconsin.
This already much less $ than the Nicad days. I used to need 4 packs at $60+ per pack.

I have two 40cs and one 50c. I use the 50c just cuz the number is nicer, but I couldn't tell the difference between the two once I out it on the track.

I can remember needing 12 packs of batteries@ $85,[1800mah] for a race day.

I purchased mine direct here: http://www.hobbypartz.com/98p-40c-50...-hardcase.html

They came with the removable pigtails when I bought them. I believe you can get them with soldered in tails too if you prefer. I have had some grit get into the holes where the banana plugs connect. Soldered versions would prevent that.

I also bought their chargers which I've been pleased with too: http://www.hobbypartz.com/thac6smbachw.html

99.9% of the time, I'm a LHS guy through and through, but when I bought these GENS Ace batteries the reviews were outstanding and the cost was less than half of what I was seeing in the hobby store for a similar battery. Since I'm paying for two of us to race in my house, it was really the only way I could afford to dump all my NiMH stuff ($$$) and start over with lipos. That was my justification anyway at the time. You can tell, I still feel guilty about buying online instead of locally.

Yeah those are the ones I was looking at. Says it dont come with the bullets so Ill have to order those as well. But for that price you cant beat it. I think that my battery was some of my problem this past weekend. I already have 3 ICE chargers so just have to get a balancer....since im guilty of never balancing my batteries.

I balance just about every time. Its just as easy if I have time to charge. But, it sure takes longer to charge them that way. Lots longer!

I've heard some say you should balance everytime to keep your packs a lot longer, others say it really makes no difference. Who knows.

WELL hope this will help you guys I have 3 Orion packs that I have been using
I have balanced them all until I was told I didn't have to so I have one pack
That I stoped balancing and it works great and it charges quick without balancing and its just as good as the rest of them
BUT I noticed that it's starting to get a lil puffy But the others are not !
Makes me wonder if balancing helps more then we think ?

I had two Fantom 5000 50c packs I bought last December when I started back up again. I ran them through the entire indoor/outdoor season without problems. I balanced everytime, however they still managed to get a bit puffy. I'm certain the amount of cycles through the packs had more to do with that than anything though.
Great packs though, I'd recommend those to anyone.

I've had awesome luck with Speedzone batteries and they're in the USA so shipping has been easy for me. I've ran the Gen-Ace... borrowed a friends and it was decent but I found the Peerless stuff from speedzone a little more punch.
