Default TC4 owners who had TC3

Does the TC4 have a large advantage over the TC3? I wont even ask about the TC4 compared to other tourers...because that would be a big p'ing contest

Thumbs up

I definatly like the TC4 over the TC3.

Many of the small changes do add up.

I've got one TC-3 thats better overall handling & one that's not, i love the TC-4 my son who is alot faster hates it wont touch it with a ten foot pole, but i think it is overall a better car hell im getting 26 seconds of free spin from it when i hit the spur gear with 90PSI till it wont spin any faster much more of a refined car than the TC-3,it seems to be the story from anyone i talk to at the track they love it or hate it, got it dialed or cant figure it out, i think i got mine dialed outdoors, i matched my son's race time from sportsman stock and the announcer said he put in the fastest laps of the day in sportsman, and im just an old intermediate. old man with a new car VS young man with an old car, i love it!

why not add the TC4 parts to your TC3?? It's no more than $20 or so...

Alot of people at the champs had problems with their tc4's, AE has some searious issues to adjust, so until they do its pretty safe to say that a tc3 is actually quite a bit faster and more consistant. And certain AE drivers i heard would have rather run their tc3's at the race but were not allowed to for obvious reasons.

AE needs to make...an even stiffer carbon tub...still too much flex for carpet.

Other than that, you guys have to realize that people still have very limited time on the car compared to the tc3. But it's true about Cleveland, at least in stock, most tc3's were faster than tc4's.

A good buddy of mine put it best when he said-reffering to the step backwards the Tc4 initally appears to be- and I quote:

This just proves Associated still has no idea why the Tc3 is so good end quote.

Think about that for a long time-its kind of deep.

i love my tc3...and the tc4 arriving on the market will not keep me from racing my tc3. The only thing that would make me buy a tc4 is if they stopped selling parts for the tc3. Besides, if they only made a few marginal changes then what is the big deal?

I think the problem with the TC4 right now is that people haven't really figured it out yet. It's not vastly different than the TC3, but it seems to like a slightly different approach to setup. I will be getting the swaybars tomorrow, so hopefully that will help out.
