Would appreciate if someone can explain the difference of these functions: (which is better?)

Charge Mode:
1. CHG
2. QCH
3. SMT

Also what does the following do:

1. Batt Cut Off Voltage
2. Boost Up Amp Set

Thanks
I would always recommend charging with the SMT system as its a three step charging system designed to help your batteries. As for the cutoff voltage I recommend leaving it at 4.2 per cell depending how many cells it will vary. 2s 8.4...etc.

Boost up is to rapidly charge the the start of a pack to charge quickly.

If you use smart charge it will include boost.

Hi NolanP.

What charge settings would you recommend for a 5000mah/60c 2 cell lipo?

In the SMT mode, do I still need to setup the Boost Up Amp set or will this be automatic?

Also, what happens if I set the Batt cutoff voltage to 4.4 per cell?

Thanks.

Just set it to 10amps max in SMT. Do not go higher than 4.2v per cell. Express is correct the only thing that can cone of that is a fire or damaged battery.

How do set whether the extra power terminals are input or output?
They are still marked as 'Input' but I can't find any settings in the menu's.

The manual also mentions that the charger can be powered by DC (presumably using those same terminals)

Thanks
Skiddins

It can be DC as well. Just plug the power supply into the Input area. Or you can use the input as an output. No settings changes needed.

Any questions ask away.

NolanP

When Elangears first started announcing their products back at the end of 2011, they advertised a Power Bridge that had two USB ports on it. I tried finding anyone who sold their products for a half a year and could never find anyone who carried anything of theirs. They have no mention at this time of the Power Bridge on their site. Do you know if this is still available and whether or not you can get one? Any info help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

It is in the works. We are hoping to have that in production soon....months still. It is a product I am pushing extremely hard to get going. They also have a camber gauge, ride height gauge, and some other products soon.
