Is my Servo compatible?
Ok ill be recieving a MX-3S radio soon and on towerhobbies it says the Reciever, AIRL0805, has "Z-Type" connecters. Now the servo that i have, a Futaba S9404, has "J-Type" connectors. Can i use this servo with this reciver? iam putting another order in Towerhobbies iam just wondering whether i should put the the adapter in with my order?
Here is a link to the reciver

I believe the Futaba servo will have a "flange" on the plug. Just cut it off and you are fine. No need for an adapter.

Check whether your servo has that flange on the plug.If no,then you're good to just plug it into your new reciver.Or not just shave it off.The flange has not signigicant use....Its just there as a fail safe mechanism,as some manufactures are afraid that you'll plug in the other way round and fry your electronics.
If you're having your new reciever, just check the polarity of the pins, whether it coinsides with your servo leads.

I just checked my servo, and yes it does have a flange. The connector looks like this int he pic:

So i jsut shave that off and plug it in right? No wires criss-crossing right? Cuz in this adapter (the one that i "supposedly" need):

the red and black wires get switched.
