Got ahold of VBC Crew on FB and asked them a few questions. Here is their response in case anyone was interested.
My questions...
1. Where is VBC headquartered?
2. Where is the Wildfire manufactured?
3. What material are the turnbuckles made of?
4. Also what size are the ball connectors? 4.7mm?
Their answers...
1. VBC is headquartered in Hong Kong and it is a division of CRC USA
2. We have parts made in the USA, Japan, Hong Kong, China and packing/assembly in Hong Kong
3. All of our aluminum parts are in 7075 including turnbuckles
4. Our ball connector size is 5.5mm

Anyone tried this car on carpet? How does it handle? Is the stock setup good enough?

I tested it this weekend tons of steering felt like my tamiya 417
changed shock position, droop, springs car got better was doing mid 10 seconds but needs more tuning ran 20 minutes on it at the local carpet track until I snapped a sterring knuckle but not sure if I will have the chance to dial it in as so I might be listing it for sale soon when I replace the knuckle
I think this car is going to be amazing outdoors

I ran mine rubber tire carpet and it was really good even though the carpet wasn't raced on for 2 plus weeks. I ran the asphalt setup that was posted a few pages back but with 2k in the rear gear diff and the rear shock out one hole on the tower vs the asphalt setup posted for the Reedy race. Car really came in nicely.

I've tested my car on carpet 2 weekends and I would say it is as good or better than my xray ever was. I did break a few parts on the car in a hard crash but I think they would have broke on any car. I think once the fast guys find a good base setup the car will be money.

Pretty happy with my initial carpet runs so far with rubber tires. I'm interested in driving the car on asphalt which is my favorite surface to run on. My thought is with just a change of springs my car will be very drivable and thats what I'm looking for overall. Just want a car that is very close for me on rubber tire carpet and on asphalt. It don't have to be perfect but just be reasonably close. At that point it would make it easily better than any other touring car I have ever had and thats saying alot as I have have many a touring car.
