dumper, how do you get to the Flex chassis on the CRC site? Trying to get one but can't find it.

Have any of you guy played around with the gear diff up front? If so what lube were you using and what did it do for the car...?

I have been switching back and forth between a spool and a gear diff. I used Cleaning putty in the diff. It was defiantly faster but a lot harder to be consistent with. The spool up front is a lot more forgiving and easier to be consistent with.

There is an E20, E25, and E30.

E20 = 2.0 degrees of rear toe

E25 = 2.5 degrees of rear toe

E30 = 3.0 degrees of rear toe

The car comes with the E30 which is what most people use. If you feel like you need less to fit your driving style, then you will need the other blocks to do so.

Hey Teach what brand spur gears are you using? I have a 95 tooth on mine but it don't have holes big enough to get the gearing I need. What a total pain in the ass.

Also are you going to Middle River to practice on Sunday? If so I can have my car ready by then and can meet ya and burn a few packs thru.

Ok the car built easily and the directions are excellent. Love the car so far but one thing that totally sucks and since I been away for so long is the spur gear problems and running 17.5 blinky.

I didn't know I would need a gear with big holes into it to get to the damn motor screws and even though our shop has a few hundred gears not one damn spur gear has the big holes I need so now I need to waste time ordering a gear that fits. This has me grounded or I would be running tomorrow. Total pain in the ass to say the least. Now once I find the right gear then this will not be a problem ever again. Just mad now as I wanted to race it Sat but might get Sunday practice in if I can find a gear or the shop I'm going to practice at his the right style of gear.

It is a small thing but now I know. Everything on the car was pretty much perfect fit and finish. Just very light sanding on the steering knuckles to fit so no binding and then a little sanding on the caster block for the new front ESC type driveshafts (whiich I already new about having to do) so no problems. All in all one of the easier touring car I put together in last 10 years.
