The plastic spool holds up just fine. The aluminum spool is just mainly for looks and possibly doesnt twist as much as the plastic one will under stress

the car is doing very well! Lots of people are saying good things about it when I let them drive my car at my local track. Make sure the diffs are smooth, everything drops freely, drill a hole in the plastic part of the shock cap too. If you want a good starting setup try my reedy race setup minus the front diff and just run a spool.

Testing different things this weekend!

what bodies work well with this kit?

anyway between all the new 2012 kits i'm pulling the tx trigger on the Wildfire.
lots of threads read and parts seem to be already out.
some design features the others could use but innovation is everywhere.

thanx again for all your input, ya'll helped make a sell.

My buddy that ran rubber tire carpet ran what most of the guys used and that was the Protoform Mazda Speed 6. The only other body I saw on any touring car was the Protoform LTC. On asphalt around our area its the same as most run the Mazda or LTC.

Talked with my shop owner and our order to Horizon is being sent out so my new Wildfire will for sure be in this week. I would like to get a practice or two in but looks like 3 big races in a row starting with the 2nd week in August. Might have to just get right into the grind.

Dumper, you got a PM...

WYD, just finished an 7 hr practice session with Arv on the rug... The car is a lot better, faster through the corners and more consistent. Lap times dropped several tenths. Played a lot today with the links, shock pistons and oils....MMMMmmmmm

some are there(CRC)as well as vbc racing,
thanx jsinclair,
some web sites are just easier to navigate then others, known this for years,
tend to shop at places that have the fortitude to make it so,
but some may cut corners and i do not hold it agaist them.
