Default Glue on Sorex tire - best way to get it off?

Being the horrible tire gluer I am, I got some ca glue on my finger as I was gluing the tire to the rim and consequently left a nice gluey finger print on the tire rubber itself.

Is there a way of getting that glue off? ie. a quick dab of acetone? Or should I just leave it and hope it gets etched away during racing?

Acetone will remove CA glue without damaging the tire.

Nail polish remover has acetone. I use it for ungluing my fingers from each other, and it also removed some long-dried CA that was dripped onto my setup board.

I have no idea if acetone or nail polish will damage rubber. If you care about the tires, you should probably test it on an old set first.

I know acetone won't damage the tire, just wondering if it will effect it's performance in the longer run.

Sand paper will do the trick as I run asphalt which is pretty much going to do the same thing but acetone I would think would be quicker and easier. Just want to make sure it's not going to effect the tires over all grip levels even if I am only doing a spot or two.

Not all. Your better off with straight acetone. It will work better/quicker.

Yeh some newer nail polish is 'acetone' free. What's the fun in that?
