Need a few packs for 1/12 pan car. What do you recommended?

What type of chassis? T-Plate or Link?

That will force a battery choice.

If it's a link chassis then just about any 1S pack will work. I rarely if ever use more than 2,000mah in 8 minutes. The lower capacity the lighter the pack weighs. Get a 50C or better discharge pack but remember that those numbers are often exagerated.
