I played around with them 20 years ago been back in it for 3 playing with Touring cars and a 12th scale. Finally decided to get a WGT car, ran it Friday night and it brought back memories. I'm glad to have one again for which 20 years ago they were called Straight Axle s.

I've been watching the WGT class run at every big race that I have gone to. Now to finally get one build it and put the best component s in it and for it to be flawless the first time out is nothing but Positive for me

Planning to travel from California to Maine and back via Canada. Got a big RV a few months ago to make the trip in. Should be on the road for 4-5 months.

Looking for carpet tracks wherever I can find them.

Check out the GT style bodies on the very similar Yoke GT500/GT300 chassis

If you travel south of Lake Erie there is The Gate in Brunswick, Ohio. Home of the "Halloween Classic"

Here is an interesting one. Dumper at CRC has outfitted one of their Battle Axe oval cars with the axles from their F1 car. He then put on the Tamiya TCS rubber F1 tires. According to him it runs remarkably well on carpet. I have both and might actually try the combo on my WGT (CRC) to see how it works.

The idea is to create a car that isn't totally locked down in the corner but requires a little finesse to drive, much like a F1 car.

Mario,

5280 is on the list. My mother and stepfather are buried up in Silver Plume; so, Colorado is a must do for me.

But, that may well be for the second trip. Pretty much planning on staying far to the north on the first one. So, Rome, NY will be on the first one. Gotta save one of 'da best' for last...LOL

Old dude, that sounds cool! Am I correct to assume that this might be possible with my CRC SE? Does the WTF1 use SAE axle and bearings with 14mm rear hexes?
